This is why pro bodybuilders do not invest a lot of time using them and they certainly limit their use during a mass building cycle. So, to try and do a few reps with heavy weights on a pulley system is a flat out bad idea. Instead, use light weights for very high reps. This will convert the workout from a unsuccessful mass gaining workout to a much more successful fat burning workout.
